Summer Opera Garden Open Day – 7th June 2025

Join us from 11am on Saturday 7th June 2025 to explore the exquisite gardens, and choose a relaxing spot in our Walled Garden, whilst enjoying a leisurely lunch over a feast of music.

At 1pm, Blackbird Opera will enchant you with an hour-long lunchtime performance, perfect for music lovers and all the family. Featuring two guest soloists and a pianist, the musicians will take you on an exciting journey through the wondrous world of opera.

Join us for a celebration of music and opera, and experience some of the greatest musical classics by Lehár, Puccini, Mozart, and more.

Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Galloway Hills, with plenty of time to walk around the gardens, enjoy catching up with friends whilst indulging in a slice of artisan pizza from our wood-fired pizza oven in the Walled Garden, or bring a picnic to share with family. Tea, coffee and ice cream are also available – please be sure to book in advance.

What happens if it rains?

Nestled in the Galloway hills, we really cannot guarantee the weather. We will have cover available in the event of rain, but please come prepared with something warm and waterproof, as well as picnic blankets and chairs (only if you need one). Ultimately the show will go on!

No dogs please.
